Alchemist (2-2)

Alchemists the blacksmith's counterpart, excels in creating potions rathering than forging weapons. They also have a trust worthy homunculus to assist them in battle. Other than creating potions, they also have the ability to protect allies' equipment from breaking. But don't get fooled, they can break yours if you're a foe.

Job Change Guide:

STEP 1
Your road to alchemy starts at Aldebaran. Speak with Alchemist Guildsman to start the job change quest

STEP 2
You'll have to pay a registration fee of 50,000 zeny, then you'll be asked to collect one of the following:	7x Berserk Potion 100x Mini Furnace 500x Fire Arrow -- OR -- 1x Hammer of Blacksmith 1x Old Magicbook

STEP 3
Enter the portal going downstairs. The next room is star shape.
Speak with Rasputin Gregory to begin the math test. You must get 8 correct answers to pass. If job 50: you can skip this test.

STEP 4
Talk to Darwin. He'll ask you to bring the following: 3x Medicine Bowl 3x Empty Bottle 1x Red Herb 1x Yellow Herb 1x White Herb

STEP 5
Speak to Van Helmont. The easiest way to do this test is to do the Mixture and Counteragent quest. After doing the quest, talk to him again and he'll ask few questions.

Mixture and Counteragent Quest

1. Bring Detrimindexta, Karvodailnirol and Alcohol. Enter the portal indicated on the map and head to the second floor. Speak to Louitz, found in the last room upstairs by the bookshelf. He will mention "Morgenstein".

2. Head to Geffen, and talk with Aure Dupon, located to the left of the east Kafra. He'll also refer to Morgenstein.

3. Enter the Blacksmith Guild and head upstairs. Enter the other portal and talk to Morgenstein. After talking twice, he will offer to make a Counteragent or Mixture.

STEP 6
Speak with Nicholas Flamel to start the word puzzle test. After passing the test, talk to him again and he'll give you some items. Keep it because you'll need it on the next quest: You'll be asked to visit Bain and Bajin at Yuno

Bain & Bajin's Research

1. If you are doing this as part of the requirement for the Alchemist Job Quest the outcome will not matter. However, the list of materials Nicholas Flamel provided is incomplete, you still need to gather 5 coals and 5 mini furances.

2. After the experiment is complete, return to Nicholas Flamel and he will tell you to go to the Union Leader to change job

STEP 7
Return to the Alchemist Guildsman, and you'll see a portal upstairs. Enter it and you'll see the Union Leader.
